Bio

Behind every piece designed by Steven Sloan lies a deep interest in the application of the design. By immersing himself in the project’s desired use, Sloan isolates the essential elements, discarding everything not critical to function. This leaves the end result alluringly simple, utilizing only the aesthetics of the materials to embellish the project. Known for his attention to detail, Sloan possesses a unique sticktoitiveness, engrossing himself in his work until perfection is reached. Coupled with his remarkable craftsmanship, his solutions are not only practical, it is as if they have always existed.
